The GMAT™ exam, developed by business schools for business schools, evaluates the skills essential for success in graduate management programs. Each year, over 200,000 candidates take the GMAT exam as part of their application to graduate management education programs.
GMAT Eligibility
Before registering for the GMAT, candidates should be aware of the minimum eligibility requirements, which are as follows:
- Applicants must have completed their basic education from a recognized university or college.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old. If a candidate is under 18, they will need to provide a no-objection certificate from a guardian.
- A valid passport is required to take the GMAT.
- Candidates are allowed to take the GMAT up to 5 times within a year and a maximum of 8 times in their lifetime.
- Candidates must wait at least 16 days after their previous exam before they can take the GMAT again.
- While there is no mandatory work experience requirement, top business schools often prefer candidates with relevant work experience.
